Dr. Dave Hartson's own life experiences coupled with years of study and counseling/ministry experience has prepared him to offer Godly counsel and guidance to others.

His education includes:

• Ph.D. in Christian Counseling Psychology from Southwest Bible College & Seminary
• Doctorate in Christian Counseling  Psychology from Southwest Bible College & Seminary
• Masters of Divinity with emphasis is Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
• Masters of Arts in Behavioral Studies from Lael College and Seminary

His Life Experiences include:

• Senior Pastor, Bala Chitto Baptist Church, Magnolia, MS 1994-Present
• School Therapist, McComb School District, Mc Comb, MS 2001- present
• Mental Health Consultant, Beacham Memorial Hospital, Magnolia, MS 1996-present

Our approach is to make available, Christ-centered Biblical counseling.

Individual Counseling

The goal for each client is positive personality growth, the development of problem-solving skills and decision- making abilities, and the development of coping skills.

Marriage and Family Counseling

Learning more effective communication and interaction styles equip families and couples to develop healthier. more positive relationships.

Child and Adolescent Counseling

The ministry offers specialized programs to meet the needs of troubled young people who are experiencing emotional, psychological, family and social distress.

We have a variety of treatment programs that promote growth and change, positive relationships, personal values, and acceptable behavioral patterns.

Assessment and Diagnostic Services

Evaluations may be performed upon referral by Youth Court, Chancery Court or family medical doctor.

Dr. Dave Hartson has served as Senior Pastor of Bala Chitto Baptist Church since 1994. Bala Chitto is a Southern Baptist Church located in Magnolia, MS. Services are 10:00 a.m. Sunday School and 11:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. there is a mid-week prayer and Bible Study.
